With your pass, you’ll ride around the city once to see just a few of the many historic and cultural landmarks. As always, children 12-and-under ride for free.

Explore Medicine Hat!
After meeting at the Visitor Information Centre, riders will tour Medicine Hat for roughly 90 minutes. Riders will make stops at Kiwanis Central Park, Historic Downtown at the Esplanade Arts and Heritage Centre, Medalta in the Historic Clay District, Strathcona Island Park and a couple other scenic spots in Canada’s Sunniest City!
We take great care to ensure Medicine Hat’s Sunshine Trolley is always in tip-top shape. Occasionally we run-into unscheduled maintenance needs. This doesn’t happen often, but when it does, your safety is our priority!

Additional notes for riders:
- The Sunshine Trolley is not equipped with air conditioning. Please bring water along for your ride and dress for the weather.
- The Sunshine Trolley is now wheelchair accessible, maximum of one per tour, please select wheelchair pricing at checkout. LIMIT OF ONE PER RIDE. Due to time constraints, wheelchair participants will not be able to get off at stops during the tour. The wheelchair lift can accommodate wheelchairs and walkers. Mobility scooters will not fit on the lift.
- All other seating is general admission. Please be respectful of other riders’ needs.
- The Sunshine Trolley can be a bumpy and shaky ride at times and may not be a suitable experience for those sensitive to loud noises.
- Riders are encouraged to use the restroom at the Visitor Information Centre before their ride.
- Please note that pets are not allowed on Sunshine Trolley Tours
- The Sunshine Trolley is a tightly enclosed space. Please do not put on heavy perfume or smells before hopping aboard.
- We do our best to ensure the advertised tour guide will be present that day. If a guide is sick, another guide will be filling in for them.
- Each stop will allow riders to get out and explore the area. Feel free to tag @sunshine.trolleys in your posts and used the Hashtag #MedicineHatSummers!
